I’m Lia,

The founder of The Cub Hub, a consultancy dedicated to empowering families with expert support in newborn and infant care, early childhood development, and sleep solutions.

With over eleven years of experience working closely with babies, toddlers, and their families, I combine hands-on expertise with advanced academic training to offer compassionate, personalised care during the most transformative stages of parenthood.

My Story

Before founding The Cub Hub, I spent over a decade working closely with families as a nanny, including many years living in. That experience gave me an intimate understanding of the day-to-day realities of family life — from newborn care to toddler transitions, including twins and complex routines.

I hold dual Bachelor of Science degrees (Cardiff University and The Open University), originally pursuing a path in paediatrics before focusing on child development, psychology, and neuroscience. This academic foundation, combined with hands-on experience, shapes my calm, evidence-based approach to family support.

Professionally, I'm qualified as a Maternity Nurse (Level 5) and Sleep Consultant (Level 6). I continue to invest in ongoing training to ensure the guidance I offer is always current, compassionate, and grounded in best practice.

The Cub Hub was born from a desire to offer personalised, expert care for families during the early years — especially in the postpartum period, where support is often lacking. My mission is to bridge that gap with services that are responsive, non-judgemental, and built on trust.

In a world full of noise, I aim to be a steady, reassuring presence — offering practical tools, clarity, and empathy as you navigate parenthood.
